Course Description

Slips, trips and falls comprise 20 percent of disabling occupational injuries and thousands of fatalities every year. This course points out the hazards workers face every day and how a moment’s inattention can cause a lifetime of harm, or the end of a life. Viewers learn the importance of good housekeeping and why barriers, handrails and standardized risers are used. The video-based training demonstrates the specific hazards of walkways and floors, stairs and fixed ladders, portable ladders and scaffolding. It shows how to remain safe when walking or climbing.
