Course Description

Loud noises can not only cause hearing loss but also stress, fatigue, loss of concentration, lower moral, and accidents. There are important safety precautions workers should take to protect their hearing. This course is a refresher on hearing safety for workers who have already received training on hearing loss prevention, reminding them of the importance of hearing protection and the safety measures they must take. Workers become familiarized with hearing protection equipment. They learn how to properly choose and maintain the equipment in order to get the maximum benefit. Once damage has been done to hearing there is nothing doctors can do to repair it. Yet, hearing damage can be prevented. It is important for workers to have the knowledge to protect their hearing. Use this video to train workers on hearing safety and comply with OSHA regulations.
