The National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) is a direct membership association committed to advancing the credit union community through its relentless focus on membership value in representing, assisting, educating, and informing its member credit unions and their key audiences.
NAFCU wanted to replace their learning management system to create a more seamless user experience for their members. The solution would need to seamlessly integrate into NAFCU’s iMIS association management system (AMS) and its Ektron content management system (CMS). All of these components needed to create a more unified overall learner experience.
Solution
After an extensive search for a solution partner, NAFCU chose Digitec Interactive’s Knowledge Direct® LMS. The Digitec team has iMIS integration experience, along with a willingness to integrate with the other required content delivery systems. This, coupled with Digitec’s full-time in-house development team, was paramount in NAFCU’s decision.
Digitec integrated the three systems, which involved delivering recorded webinars housed in NAFCU sourced media servers. NAFCU also uses Knowledge Direct’s robust assessment engine and Practice Test features to provide additional sources of educational non-dues revenue, such as a course subscription service for their member organizations.
Results
Using Digitec’s Knowledge Direct LMS, NAFCU was able to:
- Expand the reach of their educational initiatives.
- Increase their course offerings by 1,200% within 7 years.
- Grow course enrollments by nearly 800%.
- Realize new sources of non-dues revenue through organizational subscriptions.
- Provide their student community a seamless transition between integrated systems.
