Course Description

This video explains the purpose of and demonstrates the correct use of safety showers and eye washes. Work sites where employees come in daily contact with hazardous chemicals should readily have available eye washes and safety showers. Equipment should be routinely checked to ensure basic Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards are met. Employees who may have to use either one of these safety devices should be trained on how to find them in case of an emergency. Another point discussed in the video is the importance for employees to become familiar with the type of chemicals they work with or around.
